The Mount Shasta Fish Hatchery is the oldest fish hatchery in the Western United States. Bring lunch, kids, and a handful of quarters for an unforgettable afternoon of fun. The open ponds raise different varieties of trout to that ultimately stock the streams, rivers and lakes for Northern California's unbeatable fishing. During fall and winter months call ahead to set up tours, everything is free except the .25 cent fish food. exit I-5 at Lake St (Central Exit) drive west 1/2 mile to Old Stage Rd. for more call (530) 926-2215
